Volair Mach 1 Carbon Fiber Signature Pickleball Paddle

Devloped under the watchful eye of company co-founder and pro player Julian "Andiamo!" Arnold, the Volair Mach 1 Carbon Fiber Paddle is designed to help you control the match by dominating play near the kitchen. The 11" by 7.5" T700 Raw Carbon Fiber face offers a textured hitting surface that causes the ball to linger, allowing you to impart spin and place dinks precisely. The 14mm (0.55") and 16mm (0.63") thicknesses allow you to back up this distinct control with extra feel (16mm) or a smidge more power (14mm). No matter which thickness better suits your game, the 5.5" handle allows you to use different grips throughout a match, including two handed backhands for big drives. Further, leverage, and therefore swing weight and power, are delivered courtesy of the 16.5" overall length of the Mach 1.

When deciding which thickness of the Mach 1 Carbon Fiber Paddle works best for you, it is important to look at the weight difference. The 14mm weighs in at a maneuverable 7.5 oz., while the 7.9 oz. weight of the 16mm paddle further encourages confidence in your control game. Both thicknesses boast a polypropylene honeycomb core that dampens vibrations and mutes sounds to mitigate injuries and keep you focused. With keen attention to detail, the Mach 1 features a secure edge guard that adds durability, and a cushion performance grip that wicks sweat while you dominate hands-battles near the kitchen.

The Mach 1 Carbon Fiber Paddle from Volair Pickleball is a versatile, control-oriented paddle that provides spin and comes in two thicknesses so you can find a weight and feel that works for you. If you the Mach 1, but want extra power and strenth then try out the Volair Mach 1 Forza Paddle.

Lighter than I'm used to, great for spins, soft shots, Not great for really hard shots, requires more force to really bang it. Smaller face than my old paddle, made me concentrate more on the ball, which is a good thing. No problem absorbing energy of hard shots at the NVZ and sending back low soft shots. Still a work in progress.

After reviewing paddle swing weights chose Voltaire Mach 1. Found felt more head heavy than same swing weight paddle of current paddle. Returned under 30 day trial. Thanks pickleball Central for that trial period.

I love the paddle, but there is too much a weight variance from one to another... same model. Can you weigh one and send me a lighter one?

The Volair Mach 1 (16mm) performs at the highest of levels! The carbon fiber face gives great spin & control. The touch on this paddle is insanely good!! Dinks, volley drops in transition, and resets at the kitchen are unreal. As a player can can generate a lot of power on his own, I don't need a thermoformed paddle that's generating power for me, but this one can also generate pop & power at a high level. As a 5.0 player that has used almost every brand of paddle, this performs with the best of them. The Sweet Spot is very forgiving. The weight is balanced and allows you to add your own to give it head or handle heavy weighting. The 5.5in handle is needed for a 2 handed backhand. The shape is great, no wasted space- the corners cut off for a rounded top, eliminate dead spots on paddles & give movement efficiency & great face control at the kitchen for hand speed. The durability is right up there with the best of them (Selkirk is the only company that's better). It's just well constructed and durable through 5-6mo of 5 days a week play. Don't be fooled by the price point, this paddle gives a $250 value for $140. I have 2 for tournaments & this paddle was a winner after moving on from Joola's return cycle (bad durability)

I understand that manufacturer specs usually have the caveat of a +/- but the grip circumference on my paddle was nothing near 4.3 (a smidge above 4 1/4). I was having a lot of post-play wrist and elbow pain when the paddle did not feel swing heavy over the 2 weeks I played with it, and some of the guys mentioned that the grip felt large; I measured and it was actually 4.63 (4 5/8). Can only guess that was the problem for my average-size female hands. Otherwise seemed well-constructed (with the exception of the end-cap sticker that kept falling off) but the large grip made this a return for me.

Ben playing with the Franklin Ben Johns and decided to try to change over. As a former tennis player transitioning to pickleball I needed a paddle that provided enough power but has the ability to put spin on the ball. My third shot drops have improved tremendously and I can put more spin on my sinks to set up that easy put away at the net. I highly recommend this paddle.

lacked power. Resets from an opponents drive had a hard time hitting over the net.
