The Paddles That Do it All
All-court paddles are the jack of all trades for the pickleball world. They are just as capable of slowing the game down as they are speeding it up, and they are a fantastic starting point for players unsure of what kind of paddle to get.
The all-court category includes the most well-rounded paddles we carry. This list represents some of our staff favorites, but there are other paddles in this category that may be a better fit for your game.

The original Paddletek Tempest Wave Pro was one of the winningest paddles of all time, and for good reason, so we were ecstatic to see an updated model with modern spin potential. The verdict? The new carbon lineup of the Tempest series balance performance and forgiveness better than most paddles on the market. The Wave Pro model in particular offers an enourmous sweet spot that made defending bangers' drives at the net feel effortless, and we were able to play the soft game with the confidence the ball was not going to just fall off of our paddle if we didn't find the exact center. Players looking for a high quality paddle that will help them play their best control game should consider the Tempest Wave Pro-C
Note: Players looking to get the spin and forgiveness of this paddle in an elongated shape should try out the Tempest TKO-C 14.3.

It’s easy to put the Double Black Diamond on this list as it’s genuinely difficult to think of something it can’t do. Six Zero unlocked fantastic spin from raw carbon fiber, a large sweet spot thanks to a hybrid shape, and thermoformed construction. A maneuverable balance and swingweight that make winning hands battles a common occurrence. If you haven’t had the opportunity to try one of these out, I encourage you to make it happen.
Note: Players looking for extra pop should consider the 14mm version of this paddle.

The Bantam series from Paddletek features some of the highest quality raw carbon fiber we have seen in both spin potential and consistency across the lineup, making it one of our favorite paddles to play with and recommend. While the core inside the Bantam series is known for its power, the thicker core (14.3mm) option features solid forgiveness on off center hits while the spin producing surface helps players bend the ball back inside the lines. Players looking for a paddle in between the All-Court and Power categories that want great spin and a premium made in America build quality shouldn't look past the Bantam TKO-C 14.3.
Note: Players looking for a little more pop and power potential should consider the thinner TKO-C 12.7mm option.

The LUXX Control Air from Selkirk was an absolute hit when it launched, but players shouldn’t shy away just because of the control in the name. While the paddle does come out of the box relatively “soft”, a small amount of weighted tape on the perimeter, especially on the Invikta model, offers players a significant bump in power potential and stability. While many players won’t want to customize their paddle, those willing to give it a try will immediately appreciate the extra performance and tuneability of the LUXX. Pair this versatile paddle with a best in class applied grit texture for spin, and you have an all-court weapon capable of battling at the highest level.
Note: Players looking for a less expensive option should consider the SLK Halo XL paddle.

Franklin took longer than other manufacturers to release a raw carbon fiber lineup, but they learned from the market and ultimately launched the affordable and high-performance FS Tour lineup. While the elongated Dynasty is a great paddle, it’s the Tempo 16mm model that gave us the most well-rounded experience. Drops and resets were a breeze, even outside of the sweet spot thanks to high stability from internal perimeter weighting. The shorter shape let us swing quickly and put the ball away when the time came as well making it an easy choice for this list.
Note: Players used to an elongated paddle will appreciate the extra reach the Dynasty models offer, just beware that they are a little heavier to swing out of the box.
