Very expensive! Great paddle for someone who is a 4.0. ish and needs to control the ball to gain advantage and minimize their weaknesses. Not great for fast power plays. Spins like crazy; absorbs drives so you can change pace and place ball. I have two paddles. This one for days when I am feeling defensive and using fast balls. And a faster paddle for heavy balls and and days when I am feeling on top. Still new; but it feels more sensitive to damage… not sure that the gritty surface for spins will last. Unprotected edge easily damaged by contact with court surface. Still glad I bought it!

First things first - I'm not sure there's a better Control paddle on the market at the moment, and I've tried a lot of them - JOOLA, Carbon, Diadem, etc. But be prepared, this is strictly a Control-oriented paddle. If you're looking for straight power this is definitely not for you. That said, and if you read or watch any good reviewer, they'll tell you to add some lead tape to add to the swing weight and thus create more power that way. I've done that myself and it 100% helps. It also helps increase the sweet spot. I do not think this paddle is for beginners or those simply trying to improve their game. It's designed for a really good 3.5/4.0+ player. The resets are so easy and the touch at the net is great.

I liked the smooth edge. However if the ball hit close to the edge the paddle seemed to reduce power. Occasionally the ball hit the Smile hole and would mess up the shot.
