Transcript of Video #1 - Tyler Loong

Hey guys, my name is Tyler Loong and I'm from Highland, Utah. I've been playing with the Z5 for the past 3-4 years. It was my first paddle that I ever used and I just really grew to like this paddle and learned to love it. I really like the balance of it, the weight of it, and also the feel that it gives me. I've tried other paddles before and this one just really sticks with me and so I really like the feel that it gives me.

Very disappointed in this paddle. Even as a medium weight, felt very light. Not at all responsive. Even though sweet spot supposed to be large, was very small. Paddle felt very "tinny" and lacked power and feel. Way overpriced. It's going to be on the table at the next garage sale. ***PBC Response*** Hey David, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! • The Z5 Is A Great Paddle For A Beginner

I'm not a paddle or a pickleball expert. I've been playing for a year, here and there but I was never serious about it. I had wood paddles that were good. But heavy. people were starting to love pickleball so I tried it. I went to a pickleball restaurant to try it, and my mom bought a net so we could play in our driveway. I tried one of the paddles at the restaurant and I thought "I need a new paddle." I ordered the Z5 and fell in love with it immediately. It has a great feel and it looks so cool and modern. It hits the pickleballs great and far, and it has great control. So as you can guess I love pickleball even more now. If your a beginner or even a pro, I definitely recommend this paddle.

Really like the racquet. Had to return the first one with a warranty issue. They replaced it immediately.

  • Great Mid-Range Paddle

I'm just getting started in pickleball having only a little bit of prior experience playing tennis in high school. I wanted to start out with a good mid range paddle and the majority of the umpteen-million reviews on these are positive. So far so good. It's nice and light without feeling cheap. Decent sweet spot. It is a bit loud, making that distinctive pop when you hit a good shot in the sweet spot. It can get a bit annoying I'm sure, but I like that immediate feedback as my skill progresses. If you hit a bad shot, you immediately know as it will have a very dead sound to it, so you can plan accordingly for damage control IF your ball happens to make it back over the net. I've only played a handful of times so far, so I cannot attest to the durability factor, but so far so good. I have heard the nomex cores in these are not quite as durable as the more advanced composite, but I anticipate this paddle lasting me at least a year of casual play. One of the other major traits I like with this paddle is the textured face. This helps a lot when putting spin on your shots. Worth the $80ish to me, so much that we just ordered one for my wife as well.
