"Our team was excited to try the Vulcan ball as it was being evaluated for the PPA Tour. Our play test group consisted of players from 3.5 – 4.5 skill levels, all of whom have hit thousands of pickleballs. During our session, we included the other top balls on the market to compare. Here is what the group determined:The VPRO Flight is a fast and responsive ball. The stiff construction allows the ball to sink into the paddle face on contact, making it easy to generate spin and shape the ball on court. In our play test, the bounce was consistent and let us forget about the ball and totally focus on our game. The neon green color is a huge step forward in visibility that allowed our players to track the ball with ease.
We noticed that the ball needed no conditioning, meaning the VPRO Flight was ready for competition right out of the box. We felt it played just a bit slower than the previous tournament ball, but we appreciated that the change in pace contributed to longer firefights. That's not to say the ball is slow, we felt it was as fast or faster than all other competitors. Of the VPRO balls we tested we did have one go out-of-round during play, but the durability and playability of our play testing allotment impressed us overall.
In summary, we feel that competitive players will like the ball. It balances out some of the power in the game and provides the consistent response, bounce, and flight that competition deserves. I don’t think I’ll play in another ppa tournament until they change the official ball the Vulcan ball is egged after 3 points they charge 4 dollars for a ball not worth the purchase

Unfortunately, the ball is not worth the high price. It changes behavior very quickly only after having played a few points. It also loses round very quickly and often. Probably won't order them again.

The Worst! Only bought for PPA

Only bought to get ready for PPA, threw them in the garbage immediately after…good for about 3 hits then goes out of round. Watching the pros dive for serves that wouldn’t bounce off the court or seeing them lunge for bad hops says it all. But when u pay 3m to get the PPA ball guess we are stuck with it..terrible.

Durable but quickly goes out of round

I love that this ball does not crack as quickly as the Onyx Dura. However, I like to smash my overheads and I now have to hold back because every time I do the ball goes out of round resulting in untrue bounces. Not a fan.

I bought these to practice for upcoming PPA tournament. I don’t feel like I can generate the same amount of spin as a Dura and they warp super fast, especially if playing with powerful hitters. Not a reliable ball and expensive per unit.

The worst ball I have ever played with! I cannot count how many times I have been using vulcan balls during rec play and seen the weirdest bounces ever, suprising myself and whomever I was playing with, only to find that the ball had become extremely out of round very quickly, and obviously needed to be changed out and usually for a different brand of ball at the request of the individuals i was playing with.
