Pursuit MX Pickleball Paddle
The Pursuit MX Paddle from Engage Pickleball adds versatility to your game and an exceptional touch which improves precision. It has an omni-directional surface texture which increases the face's ability to grip pickleballs and add spin. The graphite itself is designed to provide this traction rather than a separate overlay, meaning it won't wear away over time and maintains a high level of performance. Engage's proprietary Control Pro Black honeycomb core provides a gentle touch which reduces impact shock, yet stays strong and resists deformation even with regular use.The Pursuit MX Pickleball Paddle features an extended 5-3/4" long handle, allowing for double-handed backhands and a wider variety of grip styles. The total paddle length is 16-1/2" which translates to greater reach for those just out of reach lobs or shots at your feet. The Pursuit MX is offered in three weight ranges to match your preferred play style: featherweight ranges from 7.1 - 7.4 oz, lite from 7.5 - 7.8 oz, and standard weight from 7.9 - 8.3 oz. The core measures 1/2" thick to balance power with the control offered by a graphite face.
The Pursuit MX Graphite Pickleball Paddle will boost your reach and accuracy, and assist you in pulling off strategies that will keep your opponents guessing.
Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".
Reviews of the Pursuit MX Paddle by Pickleball Central Staff:
"You had me at Engage and Graphite. We’ve been waiting for this power brand to put out a graphite paddle for some time, and now they have combined the softer Poach core with an all-new graphite face. And immediately, this paddle vaulted to the top of my list of Engage Paddles. The graphite adds a level of control I have not seen in this brand without taking away all the power; plus, the textured surface allows you to shape shots with top spin, cut, and side spin. This is the type of paddle that gives players the confidence to go for it.
The half-inch-thick Pursuit paddle comes in two shapes – the Pursuit EX (16” L X 8” W with a 5” handle length), and this Pursuit MX (16.5” L X 7.5” W with a 5.75” handle length). Additionally, each shape is available in two core thicknesses: the 0.5” core (EX and MX) and an ultra-control-oriented 0.6” core (EX 6.0 and MX 6.0). And believe me, each shape/core combination offers its own unique set of playing characteristics.
This Pursuit MX (our play group called this one "long and skinny") is my favorite of the 4 models – ironic since I am neither long nor skinny. The extra length of the paddle puts the sweet spot out towards the head of the paddle, where I like it. I enjoy the attack-inspiring qualities of this paddle. A little more whip from the handle length and just a little more "pop" than the Pursuit EX.
This is an exciting series of paddles which serves up numerous playability options to help you find the one that perfectly fits your game."

Great paddle
Feb 4, 2022
I’ve hit with dozens of paddles and nothing compares to this. It has great “feel” at the line and great “pop.” I only wish Engage still made it in the elongated shape. With a little more reach, it couldn’t be beat!
