Standard Weight/Medium Grip

X-1000 Composite Pickleball Paddle by Franklin

The Franklin X-1000 Pickleball Paddle is a wonderfully economical choice from a big-name brand. It features an extra-wide (8.25") composite fiberglass face to maximize hittable surface area, widen the sweet spot, create a fantastic blocking tool at the kitchen line. The core is manufactured from a durable 13mm (0.51") thick polymer honeycomb, and is mated to reactive and game-ready fiberglass panels on either side. Versatility and value in one great package.

The X-1000 Paddle weighs in at 7.7 - 8.2 oz., putting it in midweight range and translating to adequate swing weight and power when called upon. It has a 5" long handle with a medium (4.25") circumference. The grip has perforations which keep sweaty palms to a minimum, while the ridges allow for comfort and a secure grasp. The X-1000 is approved by USA Pickleball and can be used recreationally or put to use at officially-sanctioned tournaments.

The X-1000 Composite Fiberglass Pickleball Paddle by Franklin has a large sweet spot and powerful striking surface that ensure you'll be prepared for any challenge.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

  • Power is good. Low control

These parsonage a surprising amount of power but they lack control. They came free with our net and they are okay as spares. If you can learn to control these you will be ready for an advanced paddle. I’d imagine this is the sort of paddle that you would find in a recreation center. Middle of the road.

Myself and the other teachers are happy with the paddles we purchased. They are far better than normal PHYS ED paddles that we purchased for the students. The students are jealous and try to snag them from us when we aren't looking. We are hoping to buy more just like them for our classes.

I bought this to have extra paddles on hand for friends and family, but it would be mean to saddle a beginner with this paddle. It has a bull-in-a-china-shop feeling. Ok-ish power but absolutely zero control.
