Selkirk VANGUARD Power Air Invikta Pickleball Paddle

Declared by Selkirk to be "The Ultimate Power & Spin Paddle," the VANGUARD Power Air Invikta is engineered for attacking and power. As with the other models in the Power Air line, this iteration of the top-selling Invikta shape brings innovations tested and proven via Selkirk's Labs program to their broader line of pickleball paddles. The Aero-DuraEdge Edgeless Technology and Air Dynamic Throat reduce wind resistance and increase swing speed which, along with the elongated shape, result in tons of power. Next, Selkirk's ProSpin+ NextGen Texture applied atop a hybrid face material incorporating a first-of-its-kind blend of carbon fiber (for control) and Fiberflex fiberglass (for power), you'll be able to generate top spin and cut shots like never before. Finally, the molded one-piece feel and FlexFoam injected beneath the perimeter result in consistent paddle performance...and a confidence boost for you.

The VANGUARD Power Air Invikta has a 5-1/4" handle length for one- or two-handed shots, while the handle measures 4-1/4" in circumference and arrives wrapped in Selkirk's popular Geo Grip. At 16-1/2" in overall length, by 7-3/8" wide, the Invikta provides great reach and more than sufficient surface area.

Please note, because this is a truly edgeless paddle it will chip if struck against the court surface. We recommend applying one to two layers of electrical tape or branded edge guard tape to the edges of this paddle for protection against damage.

The VANGUARD Power Air Invikta from Selkirk Pickleball offers top-end power for those with the soft hands to control it up close. Experience the latest in pickleball paddle technology, developed to give you an edge.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

Reviews of the VANGUARD Power Air Invikta Paddle by Pickleball Central Staff

"Power. Spin. Maneuverability. Forgiveness. Until now, pickleball players have sacrificed one or more of these attributes for a single paddle, but the research and development team at Selkirk has forged a new sweet spot with the Vanguard Power Air. On first strikes with the Power Air Invikta, I felt some serious pop off the face coupled with enough spin to make me confident in my ground strokes right away, almost like I had a tennis racket in my hand. With a thin maneuverable profile, a gritty textured surface, and the extended Invikta shape, I was not surprised with how the Power Air played from the baseline, but I loved the feeling of effortlessly bending the ball around and keeping my opponents deep in the court. What I did not expect was the confidence I felt at the net to place dinks wherever I wanted without having to hyper focus on hitting the center of the paddle every time. The Power Air has the largest sweet spot of any edgeless paddle I have tried. If you are looking to add more power to your game, are transitioning from tennis or love playing singles, the Power Air Invikta could be the paddle you have been waiting for."

Exceeded my expectations. The spin was excellent, but I was surprised at how much my soft game improved given how lively the face is. Great purchase.

I absolutely love this paddle. It has a great feel in your hand.

This paddle has changed my game. I feel confident in hitting spins and drops where I want them. The balance is perfect for the size of the paddle

Truly Exceptional. Perfect fit for the tennis player

My wife is a huge fan. The extended length has made all the difference. Transitioning from the bounce of a tennis ball and the difference in a pickleball has been a challenge for her. With the Selkirk Invikta, the transition has become easier to embrace. Pricey but given the benefit and improved play, more than worth the price.

Best paddle yet

I like to try various paddles, always looking for just the right one. I love this new paddle—lots of spin potential and power. Nice grip although I prefer a longer grip. Paddle is pushing the price limit but if you are looking for spin and power, I recommend this one.

  • Best paddle I've ever owned!

Amazing power plus control, spin, also great for soft game dinking & lobs. I am more confident on the court and have improved my level of play (3.5-3.8) with the Invikta Air. I do have TWO complaints: 1) The surface paint wears quickly, especially with outdoor play, but luckily does not affect performance. Still the paddle looks OLD after just several weeks of use. 2) I want to buy another but Selkirk will NOT let me select the weight I want! For the price I am paying, Selkirk can take a minute's time to find me MY REQUESTED WEIGHT from their stock supply. I will not order another until they decide to do so. This is my major complaint.

First and foremost, it is important to note that the Selkirk Vanguard Invikta Power Air paddle is designed for power and control. This is achieved through a combination of features, including a larger sweet spot, a longer handle, and a unique polymer core. The paddle also boasts a sleek and modern design that is sure to turn heads on the court. One of the most impressive features of the Selkirk Vanguard Invikta Power Air paddle is the larger sweet spot. This is achieved through a combination of the paddle’s shape and materials. The paddle is slightly wider than standard pickleball paddles, which allows for a larger hitting area. Additionally, the paddle’s face is made of a proprietary polymer blend that is designed to provide a consistent bounce and reduce vibrations. This means that players can hit the ball with more power and still maintain control, even if they don’t hit the ball dead center. Another key feature of the Selkirk Vanguard Invikta Power Air paddle is the longer handle. This is designed to provide players with more leverage and control, particularly when hitting overhead shots. The handle is also coated in a special grip material that provides excellent traction, even when the player’s hands are sweaty or wet. This allows for greater accuracy and control during intense rallies. The Selkirk Vanguard Invikta Power Air paddle also features a unique polymer core. This core is made of a lightweight, high-density material that is designed to absorb vibrations and reduce shock. This means that players can hit the ball with more power without experiencing the same level of impact on their hands and arms. Additionally, the polymer core is designed to provide a consistent and predictable feel, allowing players to develop muscle memory and improve their game over time. In terms of performance, the Selkirk Vanguard Invikta Power Air paddle does not disappoint. The combination of power and control provided by the paddle’s design makes it an excellent choice for players who are looking to take their game to the next level. The larger sweet spot allows players to hit the ball with more power, while the longer handle and unique polymer core provide greater control and precision. The paddle is also well-balanced, allowing players to maneuver it quickly and easily on the court. When it comes to generating spin on the serve, this paddle is a beast. Of course, as with any piece of sports equipment, the Selkirk Vanguard Invikta Power Air paddle does have a few drawbacks. One potential issue is the weight of the paddle. At around 8.2 ounces, it is slightly heavier than some other paddles on the market. While this can be an advantage for players who prefer a heavier paddle, it may not be the best choice for players who prefer a lighter paddle.
