RPM Friction Pro V2 Ella Oh Elongated Tri-Density Core Pickleball Paddle

For players who like to take space away from opponents, the RPM Friction Pro V2 Ella Oh Pink Elongated Pickleball Paddle pairs a 16.5in x 7.5in shape with the reach and leverage to attack drives, overheads, and volleys farther out in front. The elongated profile gives us added court coverage and natural leverage through full swings, while the 5.5in handle leaves room for two-handed backhands. This signature version was designed specifically for Ella Oh's game and brings her pink styling to the high-performance Friction Pro V2 platform.

Developed through RPM LABS and co-designed with James Ignatowich, the Friction Pro V2 combines RPM's CarbonBite Surface, Axial Carbon Layup, enhanced EVA foam ring, and Tri-Density Core. Polypropylene honeycomb and multiple foam densities tune how different areas of the paddle respond, keeping the center lively while adding support toward the perimeter for a larger usable sweet spot and more predictable off-center contact. The 14mm version releases the ball faster and feels easier to accelerate through counters and aggressive swings. The 16mm adds dwell, shock absorption, and stability for players who still want elongated offense but prefer a more composed response on blocks, resets, and controlled drives.

+ Key Features
  • CarbonBite Carbon Fiber Surface - RPM's spin-focused face helps us grab the ball on topspin drives, rolls, serves, and dipping speed-ups so aggressive swings can still be shaped back into the court.
  • Axial Carbon Layup - The V2 carbon structure reinforces the face and improves energy transfer, helping the paddle feel connected when we accelerate through drives and attacking volleys.
  • Enhanced EVA Foam Ring - Perimeter foam supports a larger playable sweet spot and helps stabilize contact when the ball lands away from dead center.
  • Tri-Density Core - Polypropylene honeycomb and multiple foam densities tune how different areas of the paddle respond. The center stays lively for pace, while added support toward the perimeter expands the usable sweet spot and keeps off-center contact more stable and predictable.
  • 16.5in x 7.5in Elongated Shape - Extra length adds reach and leverage for singles coverage, overheads, drives, and balls taken farther out in front.
+ 14mm | Faster Response and Easier Acceleration
The 14mm version gives the Ella Oh Elongated its quickest, most reactive personality. At 7.8 oz with a 113 swing weight, it gets through the ball faster on drives, counters, and speed-ups while still taking advantage of the leverage from the 16.5in shape. The thinner core rebounds quickly, which helps when we want to apply pressure before an opponent can reset the point. It is the better fit for players who like aggressive acceleration and a crisp response. Compared with the 16mm, it gives up some dwell and shock absorption for greater immediacy off the face.
+ 16mm | More Dwell, Stability, and Controlled Power
The 16mm version keeps the elongated reach and attacking leverage but gives the paddle a more settled response. At 7.9 oz with a 117 swing weight and 6.5 twist weight, it carries more steadily through contact and feels more composed when blocking hard pace or driving through the ball. The thicker core gives us longer dwell and softer shock absorption on resets, drops, and controlled counters without taking away the offensive character of the shape. Players who like elongated power but want a little more forgiveness and predictability when the game slows down should gravitate toward this version.

Expert Review
"This is the V2 shape I reach for when I want more leverage. The 14mm rewards fast, aggressive swings, while the 16mm settles things down enough that resets and blocks still feel comfortable."

Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is the difference between the 14mm and 16mm RPM Friction Pro V2 Ella Oh Elongated?
The 14mm rebounds faster and feels easier to accelerate through counters, speed-ups, and aggressive swings. The 16mm carries a little more weight through the swing and adds dwell, stability, and shock absorption for blocks, resets, and controlled drives.
+ Is the Ella Oh version different from the standard Friction Pro V2 Elongated?
The Ella Oh edition uses the same Friction Pro V2 performance platform and technologies, wrapped in the signature pink design created for Ella Oh. You get the same CarbonBite Surface, Axial Carbon Layup, enhanced EVA foam ring, and Tri-Density Core.
+ Who should choose the Ella Oh Elongated shape?
If you build points around reach, drives, overheads, and taking the ball farther out in front, the elongated shape makes the most sense. The 16.5in length gives us extra court coverage and leverage when we want to attack.
+ How does the Friction Pro V2 compare to the RPM Jade?
The Friction Pro V2 centers its performance around CarbonBite spin, Axial Carbon Layup, and a Tri-Density Core that blends polypropylene honeycomb with multiple foam densities. Jade is RPM's full-foam alternative, using an MPP floating core and SICmatrix surface with a stronger emphasis on durable surface roughness and explosive full-foam response.
+ How does the Ella Oh Elongated compare to RPM's wider shapes?
The elongated version gives us more reach and leverage, while RPM's wider shapes give us more face area and easier stability in quick doubles exchanges. The elongated shape fits players who want to create offense with length, while a wider shape makes more sense when forgiveness and lateral stability are the priority.
