Exploring The "Pickleball Highway"

One of the tour's highlights was the opportunity to trace the roots of pickleball through a historic sightseeing tour, including a drive down what locals affectionately call the "pickleball highway." This route showcases the sport's history and its enduring significance to the island's culture. On this short drive you can see up to 12 pickleball courts situated in driveways, pickleball paradise!

Pickleball Play At The Founders Courts

No pickleball tour would be complete without some actual gameplay, and the tour with Frog Rock Pickleball Company did not disappoint. Participants had the privilege of playing pickleball with locals at the Founders Courts, where they honed their skills and soaked in the island's pickleball spirit.

Boutique Shopping and Island Exploration

Between matches, the group explored the charming Bainbridge Island boutique shops. This allowed us to immerse ourselves in the local culture, pick up unique souvenirs, and gain a deeper appreciation for the island's rich heritage.

Trivia and Bonding Over Lunch

The tour wasn't just about pickleball and shopping; it was also an opportunity for participants to get to know each other better. Trivia games added an element of fun and competition, and a delicious lunch provided the perfect setting for bonding and exchanging stories.

Discovering Pickleball History At The Bainbridge Island Historical Museum

To gain a deeper understanding of Bainbridge Island's history and significance, the tour included a visit to the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum. Here, participants delved into the island's past, connecting the dots between its history and the evolution of pickleball.

Scenic Return to Seattle

As the day wound down, participants enjoyed breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier and downtown Seattle during their ferry ride back. The serene beauty of the Pacific Northwest served as a fitting conclusion to a day filled with adventure and discovery.
