Hi everyone, Sarah Ansboury here. I am your 2016 US OPEN Mixed Doubles Champion and Women’s Doubles Champion. So here I’m going to talk to you about some of the paddles that I love. My paddle of choice is going to be HEAD Pickleball. This right here is the HEAD Radical Pro. Like the other paddles in this series, you have this dynamic power shape. There’s a tapered head that kind of goes inward a little bit. It gives you a little bit more maneuverability. This has got a fiberglass surface, which is going to be a bit more softer and poppier. Now with this we also have the extreme spin surface. I can’t believe the grab this texture has. But, my absolute favorite thing about this paddle, like all the HEAD paddles, it’s one solid piece. What that means is it’s going to be a much more stable and secure paddle overall. No matter what kind of player you are, you’re going to feel the difference. Demo these out. Try it. See what you like about it. If you don’t like this one then you know what? Look at another paddle in this series and I’m sure you’re going to find something right up your alley.
"One of the main distinguishing characteristics of HEAD paddles, as found on the Radical Pro, is the handle. Instead of using pallets, there’s a single molded piece covered with foam. Since the handle is part of the paddle, this provides a more solid feel and improved durability." - Sarah Ansboury, Pro Player (5.0)

Paddle plays well for me!
Mar 12, 2023
I Demo'd the paddle from another website and liked it a lot compared to the 2 other paddles I Demo'd. It absorbed the impact of the ball and lessoned the tennis elbow I get from time-to-time post play. It is lightweight and has a good feel.

GOOD PADDLE & REASONABLE PRICE
Oct 20, 2021
This paddle is a slight step up from my Head Radical Elite paddle (which I continue to use). This Radical Pro has a slightly textured surface and allows just a bit more feel/touch than the Elite paddle. Backcourt swing/balls require slightly more force than with the Pro paddle. Less power thus more feel. I’m an active tennis player (4.0) with a one handed topspin and under spin on both the FH and BH. Kudos to HEAD for providing pickle ball players with reasonably priced equipment that play well.

I was researching paddles and unsure which one to buy as my next "step up" paddle. I thought the review on the website was great and validation on which paddle I should purchase.

I love this paddle. Was worried it might be too heavy but it's just right. I feel like my shots have improved with it.
