Electrum Model E 13mm Graphite Pickleball

The Model E 13mm (0.512") Pickleball Paddle is Electrum's answer to players' cries for more reach and more power. A sibling to the massively popular Model E 16mm Paddle. This paddle boasts an elongated 16-1/2" overall lenth, and a 7-3/8" wide face that situates the sweet spot high for additional power while helping you reach tricky shots near the kitchen or over your head. Accenting this elongated face is a 5 1/2" long handle that further boosts your reach while generating more leverage (and therefore power) on big drives. A midweight range and perfect balance yield a paddle that is accessible for many skill levels, and raise the ante on power over this paddle's 16mm thick older brother.

The elongated, powerful, and lightweight design of the Model E 13mm paddle is backed up nicely by the 13mm thick polypropylene honeycomb core. This core limits vibration reaching your arm, full-cell design helps mishits go closer to where you want them to, and situates it as the thinner and more powerful paddle in the Model E line. Raw Carbon Fiber is used for the face, as with all Electrum paddles, to provide reliable durability and impressive spin that adds a touch of control and feel to your power game.

The Electrum Model E 13mm Pickleball Paddle offers lightweight reach and power that works to help you hit overhead slaps, get to tricky dinks, and win more points than ever before.

Nice paddle for those that like longer paddles It .seem to be very responsive and you can get some nice spin off the surface.

  • Great spin and speed, lots of power

Love the paddle, I prefer 13mm and this is perfect, spin is the best ive had.

Love this paddle. Takes a little time to adjust to it. Heard about the smaller sweet spot so I put lead tape from 9 to 3 around the head and it has more power and the sweet spot is larger. It’s great for power, spin and control imo. Did take a little adjusting but I love it. Haven’t had the breaks that others seem to have.

  • No power or pop

    Feb 9, 2023

I have been playing with the 16mm, model E and have really enjoyed it. When I decide to get a new paddle I was excited to try out this 13mm because it "should" have added pop and power. I am sad to say my paddle has zero. I feel like the entire paddle is a dead spot, NO sweet spot at all. Trying to rally at the kitchen and everything is a reset, because the it just does a dead fish flop off the face. Personally I am not happy with the 13mm model E. ***Pickleball Central Response*** Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the paddle. We love the 13mm model, but we understand that not everyone will, which is why we offer a 30-day test drive on any paddle so you can find the one that is right for you and your game. - Pickleball Central Team

  • Great Paddle with a Soft Touch

    Jan 17, 2023

I was excited to see Electrum release at a 13mm paddle compared to the 16mm version, which, amongst other paddles, I demoed a month before I made this purchase. I thought this paddle would deliver more power at the net than it does (other control paddles provided more power), but the control is excellent. The spin on serves and returns is solid, and the weight allows for good maneuverability at the night even without the power. Notably, I haven't used a paddle that makes resets easier. I'm a shorter player, so may transition to a paddle with more power, but beyond that, I am very pleased with the performance and feel of the Electrum E 13MM.

  • Fragile - like, REALLY fragile - Combo

    Jan 6, 2023

So much to love when it works - esp. if ya like lots of spin, big sweet spot, long reach, and real power for the big and/or new drivers. Not the best pop/maneuverability at the net. BUT, WARNING: sadly, production quality has plummeted since early releases. Paddle face wears and cracks easily, edges are soft and brittle, handle literally bends at a 90 degree angle with even light pressure/400 hours of use. And, Electrum only replaces once; when my replacement paddle (for a cracked face on both sides after 85 hours of use) broke in THREE hours with a handle snap after light ground contact on a dig...? They wouldn't replace it due to "company policy". I tried four over the last 18 months - with all the protection I could muster - and each has lasted shorter than the one before.

  • A Great Upgrade

    Dec 21, 2022

Everything I loved about the 16mm but thinner and with more power. I felt even more accurate with my shots and I could spin with more ease, but it took a few games to adjust to the power. Otherwise, a much needed upgrade from the original.

  • I am not sure the longer paddle has enough value in exchange for the smaller sweet spot

I already have the Electrum. Love the paddle but the customer service is lousy!

  • Electrum E 13mm Elongated paddle

    Dec 11, 2022

I have 3 of the 4 paddles that Electrum offers. This one continues to keep the standard of excellence that they uphold. Nice pop and great control. Thank you PB central for your continued timely shipping and great customer service.
